Queryra + Highlight Search Terms

Works out of the box

Highlight Search Terms by RavanH marks the words a visitor searched for, on the search results page and one click deeper, on the post itself. Queryra decides which results appear and in what order. The two plugins work side by side.

Setup

  1. 1

    Install and activate both plugins.

  2. 2

Sync your content in Queryra as usual.

  3. 3

Search on your site. Nothing else to configure.

What gets highlighted

The words from the search that appear in the text of a result, also as part of a longer word ("shampoo" marks "shampoos"). Highlight Search Terms ignores upper and lower case and accents.

When nothing is highlighted

Queryra also finds results by meaning. Someone who searches for "couch" can get a page about sofas, and there is no word on that page to mark. The same happens with searches in another language than your content, and with most typos. This is expected: the result is still the right one, it just doesn't share the visitor's exact words.
